Jeff and I took a much needed break. We drove down to Florida. Visiting children and grandchildren. We are also stopping at as many paper and craft stores I can find, my hubby is a saint-never complains. Visitng W Palm Beach, Port St Lucie, and now on to Orlando and the big mouse house. I don't have a wireless card , so i am loving the free wi-fi at Barnes and Noble. Plus I get to read all the new mags and have a cup or two of coconut green tea--yum!. I waited so long for this little respite and now it is almost over. oh well, there is always next year!.
When I get back to NY, I will have 5 SDU classes waitng for me to teach. I am loving this whole adventure. I am going to visit a shop in Orlando doing a Glimmer mist demo- can't wait. Take care and enjoy every moment.

Time flys!!!
Oh My Goodness-where has the time gone? I can say I have been very busy. I am happy to report I am wrapping up my second round of 4 (4 week)SDU classes this week. I will have 5 (4 week )SDU classes starting the end of October/early November. I will have a Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday class. I seem to get alot of interest, for that, I am grateful.
Right now I am working 7 days a week, with every other weekend off. I am not complaining, I love doing this , having fun, meeting wonderfully talented people, learning new things, and get paid to do this. Now if I was just living in sunny Florida, it would be a dream come true!
My mom joined my class 3 weeks ago, with one stipulation, no one in class could know she was my mom. It was odd for me to call her by her first name, however, it is quite rewarding to see the album she is putting together. My mom has always been a constant source of wonder to me. She is so very special, talented, witty, loving, thoughtful, the best mom, gram, and great gram any child could wish for. She told me I was an excellent instructor, aaw shucks ma, I think all moms say that. Thank you Mom, I Love You,too.

BUSY BUSY BUSY
I sound like a bumble bee, BUSY, busy, busy! I have been working so hard and now have 3 classes going one more to start soon. Then in October I will be also teaching a few Jewelry classes at Michaels.
I am finishing up my first SDU class on Friday, bittersweet. I have certificates and pins to pass out to my students. I have learned so muh and feel my next round of classes will be better and better.
One change I will make is discussing color theory. Color plays such an important role in our everyday lives that I need to be a bit more in depth with the teaching and use of color wheel.
Thank you for the visit, I will write more and soon post pics.

More classes
I am having the time of my life. I just added a second round of the scrapbook course in the Pelham Manor,NY store. I have also set up my first classes in the Michael's in Hartsdale,NY store.
As a certified SDU (Scrapbook Design and You) instructor I feel very honored to teach this course. I am in my "element" teaching others something I truly enjoying doing. So, tomorrow night's class is actually "hands-on" This is going to be so much fun. Colored paper. glue, and scissors, oh my!

1st Class
Friday 8/13, the 1st night of my first SDU class. It was great. I finished the 2 hours feeling motivated to teach the best scrapbook classes ever. Having never taught a scrap class before, I thought I would be intimidated by scrappers with more experience. Funny thing though, I have always enjoyed sharing and learning with/from others, and this experience was no different.
The time flew by. I am looking forward to actual "hands on" scrapping this Friday night.
I am setting up additional classes in my home store and classes at another M's location.
I also want to thank all the other online SDU instructors at yahoogroups. You have all been so generous with your ideas and kind words. Keep up the good work.
It is Sunday afternoon, this is actually my only day off, to just hang out at home, in the past few weeks. I hope you, too, are enjoying your day.

It's almost time
I have several sign ups for my Friday (8/13) first class. I am so looking forward to this. I have started a basic outline for the class. I was so happy on Thurday past, I received my SDU course completion certificate, a great SDO pin, and the "holy grail"" sdu book. The full color book. I do have a b/w copy pulled from the store email. but this is my own copy.YES!
I have made several scrap pages and framed in the 12x12 scrapbook frames we sell at Michael's. I am so lucky, my manager is so cool, and extremely supportive...he sees the big picture. Customers really need to see finished items to spark their own creativity, and he let's me do this with lots of in store projects. Thanks, Bob.
Enjoy the week, cherish every moment, spread joy and be awe inspired.

It's Friday! Crop day at Michael's
I jumped out of bed this morning , so excited, 'cause it is "crop day" at Michael's. It is an unusually long crop day 1pm-8:45pm... I can handle this. Go to work, and get paid to play, oh I am lovin' this! I made a tray of brownies,to bring (nothing like a little chocolate to inspire creativity). I'm also bringing all my SDU sign up info for my first class... FRIDAY Aug 13th!!!! I do feel "lucky", however, I will be wearing my four leaf clover undies, rabbit foot earrings, and other evil warding items I have around the house. I said I was a happy scrapper, but never said I was sane. TTFN..(ta-ta fo now)

This is so cool!
It is so cool that I have actually got my blog started. It has a home, a name, and it's all mine. I can't wait to share it with everyone. I chose "for want of wonder" because I never want to take anything for granted, or lose sight of the awe inspiring things around me, particularly the simple. often overlooked small things, that make life joyfully fulfilling.I have just received my SDU ( scrapbook design and you) certification. So in addition to my part-time office position at Michael's Arts and Crafts. I will be teaching the new scrapbook classes. Can't wait.
